Struggling to sleep peacefully? Well, one doctor found that sleeping with socks on could be a surprising yet effective solution to dozing off quicker.
Jess Andrade, a paediatric resident doctor, posted a video on TikTok explaining that having chilly feet can interfere with sleep and wearing socks "makes the feet warm as it opens up the blood vessels that cools the body down".
While the age-old debate of wearing socks to bed has raged on for many years, Jess said it's time we gave it a go. She said: "So let's talk about people that wear socks to bed. The body being cool tells the brain that it's time for bed so actually people that wear socks tend to fall asleep faster."
